We love dressing up as our favorite unique version of a fairy godmother - god parent- and living the life of a magic maker
We are open to all versions of how people want to experience and express being a fairy godparent - how they want to share, how they want to dress, what they want to do to help people feel the magic of a fairy god parent.
We love hearing and seeing how people are interpreting being a fairy god parent - so please come, participate and tell how you are doing it - share pictures, share ideas, share stories of heart warmth.
My original vision was that I would dress up like a fairy godmother and go to hospitals where kids are and read them stories...I would be like Santa - but available the other 364 days of the year, spreading hope and the understanding the there is great love out there for you and great magic is always available.
It was important to be a cool fairy godmother - big toile dress in a great color, with tiara, magic wand (I have one my friend Amy made me) and combat boots. I would bring little presents and give away my animal wisdom cards...again letting kids know that even animals are their friends and they can use the animals for inspiration and guidance. Animal power and fairy dust - a very powerful combination!
Now, I see that this can be even bigger, by creating this website and opening it up to all who want to participate in magic, we can co-create something way beyond my imagination. The fairy godmother network - which is really fairy godparents - is an experience for all of us who want to share ourselves and help inspire that there is more going on than meets the eye.
We are a unique band of people who have remembered that life can be magical, and that there is great love for us and all around us. And we fairy god-folk will hold space, and remind the young and old alike that when you know magic is possible, and that magic wants you as much as you want it - it makes no difference who you are - magic must happen, magic does happen and magic is happening all the time, we are just helping to create the eyes to see it.
